exhibition by Contemporary artists from Thailand at 4A, Sydney!
It brings together a cross generational mix of media artists
from Thailand.

Michael Shaowanasai takes the curatorial role in selecting the works and presenting the concept. Lifeboat #2551..."Stuck together in a small vessel, Thai media artists must work together
to stay afloat. At the same time they are also trying to out-live
one another. While lost at sea, they are waving and screaming in order
to get any kind of attention hoping to be rescued. Some of them are
fortunate and have been ‘scooped up’ by a passing European liner. The
rest of them can only watch and hold on to what they have - their talent,
their pride and their hopes."

Roop-Rote-Ruang (Taste-Touch-Tell), will take the form of an exhibition at Gallery 4A, and a series of dinner parties, hosted by the artist at various private residences in Sydney.

At the dinner parties, Vipoo Srivilasa will cook a four-course meal in a homecooked style. Guests will eat from a ceramic dinner set   which he has created specifically for this project. The work will unfold as the meal is consumed. Images will be exposed gradually on bowls and plates and the full narrative will reveal itself as the dinner comes to its conclusion.

DINNER DATES: Wednesday 11 JUNE, Thursday 12 JUNE, Thursday 19 JUNE & Saturday 21 JUNE. Tickets: $150 pp / Maximum of 12 people per dinner / Special Dietary Requirements cannot be accommodated / Early bookings are recommended as seats are strictly limited.
